OPTICS objectives can only be achieved by obtaining an active contribution from a large set of aviation Stakeholders.

Therefore, the project governance is seeking for candidates from all sectors and disciplines related to aviation safety to form an Advisory Board of experts in the field and beneficiary of project outcomes. The Advisory Board, composed of external organisations, will act as an independent advisory body actively contributing to, and also reviewing, the results and annual reports of the project. Its members interact with the Consortium and support OPTICS to maximise the research relevance and accuracy of the project action.

The project has the scope of eventually assessing all relevant past and on-going European initiatives addressing aviation safety research. To that end, OPTICS is constantly seeking for new Safety Projects to be evaluated and mapped onto the Project Repository.
