National Aerospace Laboratory

DLR is the national aeronautics and space research centre of the Federal Republic of Germany. Its extensive research and development work in aeronautics, space, energy, transport and security is integrated into national and international cooperative ventures.

Its primary objective is to enhance the competitiveness of Germany and Europe’s air transport industries and to achieve governmental and societal objectives. DLR has set itself the challenge of making the fast-growing air transport sector efficient, environmentally friendly and sustainable, largely deriving its strategies from SRIA.

Role in the Project

DLR will contribute to the market and societal impact assessment by involving its numerous experts for the assessment of the outcome of safety related project within FP7. It will also participate in the organisation and conduction of workshops for project review and gap identification.
