EUROCONTROL

The European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation is an intergovernmental organisation supporting, since 1963, its forty-one member states in the development, implementation and operation of a seamless, performance driven pan-European Air Traffic Management network. To achieve its mission, EUROCONTROL works closely with Member States, intergovernmental organisations, European institutions and stakeholders in the whole aviation field.

EUROCONTROL was coordinating OPTICS. In OPTICS2, the organisation:

• Is responsible for ensuring a close link between OPTICS and OPTICS2 and consistency of approach and methodology,
• Contributes to the projects assessment and to the development of the state-of-the-art of safety and security EU research,
• Plays a key role in the stakeholders’ engagement activities, in particular on the relation with ACARE WG4,
• Contributes to the dissemination activities.
