CIRA – Centro Italiano Ricerche Aerospaziali
The Centro Italiano Ricerche Aerospaziali is a non-profit shareholding consortium founded in 1984. It has been entrusted by the Italian government to manage PRORA, the Italian Aerospace Research Program, and upholds Italy’s leadership in Aeronautics and Space.
CIRA is in charge of assuring Safety and Security for critical infrastructures of safety critical application domains (e.g. aviation) according to Flightpath 2050, H2020, SESAR, EASA, EDA, European Commission DG MOVE, DG CONNECT, DG HOME reference documents and related standards (DO, ECSS, IEEE, ISO, etc).
In OPTICS2, CIRA:
- Leads the review of the assessment methodology,
- Contributes to the projects assessment and to the development of the state-of-the-art of safety and security EU research,
- Supports the organisation of stakeholders’ engagement activities,
- Supports the dissemination activities.
